Viessmann Energie-Spar Check

(English version below)

Building energy efficiency check: The ideal tool to support consultations, with TÜV-certification

Regardless whether condensing boiler, heat pump, pellet boiler or micro combined heat and power system – Viessmann’s energy efficiency check calculates potential savings for modernizing with these heat sources by making only a few entries. Therefore, it is the ideal support tool for contractors in consulting their customers. The free program has now been updated with the building energy efficiency check. Thanks to the objective results it delivers it was the only program of its type to be certified by TÜV Rheinland (German Technical Control Board).
Verified calculation method
TÜV Rheinland reviewed the calculation methods used by the building energy efficiency check in detail. It determined all values according to valid standards and regulations as well as other applicable technological standards. With this procedure, the user receives objective results that can be verified at any time and are therefore invaluable in making decisions about modernizations.
Calculation of the building envelope is a new feature
Only a small amount of information needs to be entered into the computer or tablet PC to determine system values for the building envelope. It is sufficient to enter the dimensions of one floor and the number of floors. The information about the building standard is determined through the age of the building with the assistance of DIN EN 12831, sheet 2. Subsequent modernizations, such as window replacements for example, can be entered.
Comparison of options
When using the building energy efficiency check the user has the option to either focus on the energy consumption of the building or the heating system for the calculation. A combination of both options is also possible.
The app compares up to four options to determine savings for consumption, costs and CO2 emissions. This includes a comparison between different heating systems – and can also take the integration of a solar system into account.
Calculating viability
A viability calculation is integrated into the building energy efficiency check. It determines the payback period of the investment based on total annual costs as well as costs for each modernization option.
